Lady Gabrielle Windsor’s Royal Wedding & outfit

Yet another beautiful royal wedding Lady Gabriella Windsor stuns as she married her beau Thomas Kingston over the weekend (18th May, 2019). She may be a minor royal but she looked the part as a regal bride.

They married with a beautiful wedding ceremony at the prestigious St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. The third royal wedding in the space of a year to say their ‘I do’s’ at this amazing venue.

The Royal Wedding Dress & Stunning Jewelled Tiara

Lady Gabriella Windsor, the daughter of the Queen’s cousin, wore a custom-made Luisa Beccaria bridal gown for her wedding.

The wedding gown fitted at the front with a voluminous back and a long train. It was crafted from divine Valencienne lace in an ecru tone with subtle blush tones. The stunning gown was layered with ribbons of flowers and buds featuring a see-through tulle neckline and embellished by embroidery. The gown also had sheer lace long sleeves enriched with embroidery.

A royal wedding wouldn’t be a royal wedding without the long-held tradition for the bride to ‘borrow’ a headpiece to wear on her big day. Lady Gabriella was no different.

She dazzled in an exquisite Russian Fringe style tiara. The stunning gems sparkled beneath her veil as she arrived at Windsor Castle. This beautiful bridal tiara was also worn by her grandmother Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent, and mother Princess Michael of Kent, on their wedding days. You too can create a family heirloom with your bridal accessories and carry this beautiful tradition on in your family.

While Lady Gabrielle’s tiara is estimated somewhere between 1 – 3 million pounds you can still replicate this beauty with your own style on a budget that most brides can afford.

We love our gorgeous ‘Bernadette’ Crown that gives a similar feel:

As for other accessories, she also wore gorgeous little baguette diamond drops, simple yet very elegant.

I feel it’s only fitting we reflect on Meghan, Kate and Eugenie’s accessories and how they compare in their royal styling as being the most royal influential brides of modern times.

When a royal bride is first spotted on her wedding day the tiara is usually the first thing spoken about and once she steps out of her amazing mode of transport, the dress then is critiqued. Great planning for the bride to be her dazzling best.

Usually, there is a huge sentimental value behind the tiaras and not to mention the numerous dazzling diamonds and precious jewels worth millions of pounds.

Meghan – Duchess of Sussex’s Royal Wedding Outfit

At Meghan and Harry’s wedding last May, the now Duchess of Sussex stunned in an art deco style diamond bandeau tiara made in 1932 for Queen Mary. It is estimated to be worth 2 million pounds.

Meghan opted for a simplistic look allowing the bandeau to be her statement piece. She had her glossy hair styled into a low chignon and finished the look with a statement lace veil.

The band was created with diamonds and platinum in 11 sections and pierced with ovals. The centre of it is set with a detachable brooch dating from 1893 and crafted with ten brilliant diamonds. The brooch was given to the then Princess Mary for her wedding to Prince George. The beautiful piece was lent to Meghan by the Queen herself, who was bequeathed the bandeau and brooch by Queen Mary in 1953. What an amazing history.

We still need to take the time to notice the gorgeous simple diamond studs that complement her bandeau so perfectly so as not to detract from all the other elements.

Kate – Duchess of Cambridge’s Royal wedding and outfit

Kate dazzled in a stunning Cartier Halo tiara in April 2011, made in 1936 for the queen’s mother. It is estimated between 750,000 – 1,250,000 pounds in value.

It was made for the Queen’s Mother by Cartier from diamonds and platinum before being passed to the Queen as a birthday gift from her husband. It featured 149 baguette-cut diamonds as well as an astounding 739 brilliant cut diamonds of varying weights.

The tiara was later re-gifted to the Queen, then Princess Elizabeth, by her mother on her 18th birthday in 1944.

She also wore simple drop earrings and a long veil to complement her stunning dress.

Princess Eugenie of York’s Royal Wedding & what she wore

Princess Eugenie made a gorgeous statement with her stunning diamond and emerald tiara. This piece is said to be worth a breathtaking 5 – 10 million pounds, wow!!!

For her ceremony at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on October 12, 2018 Eugenie opted to wear The Greville Emerald Kokoshnik tiara owned by the Queen. This piece was made by Boucheron for Margaret Greville in 1919 in a style popularised by the Russian Imperial Court.

For her special day Eugenie also wore a pair of diamond and emerald drop earrings that were a gift from her husband Jack.

The 28-year-old wore the tiara sans veil with her wedding gown featuring a v-shaped back which showed with pride the scars from the life-changing spinal surgery she underwent as a child.
